DIY dreamcatcher necklace

Hello! rock out your own dreamcatcher necklace! say no to bad daydreams in style! 

what you need to make it is a small circle, i found mine in my patio? beads, feathers, white string (i ran out so i used white yarn), brown hemp to cover your circle, you can also use yarn, string, or suede lace to cover your circle in your preference of color. hot glue and scissors like in most DIYs. 

P.S. I forgot to mention you need some yarn for your necklace. there i mentioned it. 

start off with making a loop, keep that loop loose so you can loop your necklace (yarn) through it later. while you are wrapping your hemp, hot glue a dot here and there to keep it from unraveling. when you've made your way around, just knot and hot glue a dot for security. 

make your web with white string or yarn. i show a bit more on a previous dreamcatcher DIY. very simple i promise. 

loop your necklace through the hoop you made earlier. you can also use suede lace instead of yarn. 

cut 3-4 pieces of hemp, five inches each. these will be your "danglies" tie them to the bottom of your circle. double knot ._.

i flippin love these beads! anyways, slip your bead through your danglies...

this is the part where you want to be a little speedy, (you dont want the hot glue to dry on ya)... attach your feather to the string with a dot or two of hot glue, quickly run your bead over the stem of your feather. so that inside of your bead you have the stem of your feather, hot glue, and string. pretty secure. cut the excess string.

DIY feather earring hair extension 

make your feather earring hair extensions! very inexpensive and would make great christmas presents for your girlfriends! 

to make them you need feathers, needle nose pliers which are like five bucks at walmart. beads, i love how gold beads look but i ran out so i had to use these, thug life. earings, two dollars at michaels. o's, also two dollars at michaels. gold wire. suede lace, five dollars at michaels. scissors and your creativity! <- cheesy pick up line. 

to cut your suede lace i'de measure to the length of your hair and double it (to have two strands hanging).

open up your o with your needle nose pliers. dont use too much strength superperson, you dont want to ruin your o by opening it too much. 

P.S. you can find the o's and the needle nose pliers in the jewelry making section at michaels, or the craft section at wallyworld. i can never spell jewelry right. 

put your earring through the o and close your o with your needle nose pliers. make sure to close it nice and tight so that your earring doesnt slip through any gap while your running through a wheat field.

put your suede lace through your o ._. 

tie a knot, keep in mind that you want to have one suede lace hanging farther down the other to add, dimension? so dont tie them keeping them at the same length cuz than you have to cut one and that just wastes suede lace. 

put yo beads through! 

P.S. i really hate these beads. there pretty tribal and cool but feather earring hair extensions look much cooler with gold beads, but I ran out. you gotta work with what ya got, right? thug life. 

grab the end of your suede lace and attach it to the stem of your feather by wrapping your gold wire around it. the gold looks awesome, and keeps it pretty secure! you can wrap your gold wire with your needle nose pliers, or with your bare hands like a beast! 

mmmm....thats it! hope you enjoyed this DIY! now rock yo hair earring extension feather thingy! to make this a clip, just hot glue your suede lace to a peice of felt and glue that to a clip. cut your felt to a cute leaf or a heart!  xoxo

DIY decorate jars // candles 

all you need is mod podge, your glass candles or jars, a brush, paper or newspaper. i used magazine cut outs! you can also personalize them by stamping on quotes or figures!

i found these cute little jars at the thrift store and wanted to spice them up a little bit! mason jars, candles would be great to do, too! 

i cut these little hearts out of magazines. get creative, you can cut out letters out of a magazine to spell something, you can cover them completely with newspaper or add pictures! (remember, it must be paper, not photo paper).

with your brush, brush on some mod podge on the back of your image. just a thin layer. 

place your image on you glass after brushing on a thin layer of mod podge. run your finger over to remove bumps, or air pockets. 

repeat if your layering! just a thin layer! 

 the mod podge will dry clear. and there you have if folks! personalized glass! get creative with mason jars! personalized drinking jars would be a cute christmas gift! hope you enjoyed!

DIY brooches 

these brooches are adorable and very easy to make. they make cute stocking stuffers  and are a lovely accessory for a plain outfit. 

to make these small creations you will need felt sheets in an assortment of colors, a pair of scissors, pins, and a hot glue gun. 

cut your square shaped felt sheet with a swirl in the middle of it like this. from the outer end of the swirl start rolling it til' you reach the middle, hot gluing a dot here and there. the center of the swirl will be for the bottom of the rose. cut the squared edges for a rounder effect if you'd like. 

cut a green felt sheet in the shape of a leaf. hot glue your leaf to the bottom of the rose. than hot glue your pin on top of the leaf.

DIY ornament

                                                                                   

cute felt flowers ornament for christmas. it would look adorable hanging around the house throughout the year as well. very easy to do and fun to get the kids involved in crafts!  scroll down for the how to, enjoy! 

to make the felt flowers ornament you will need a styrofoam ball, different colored felt cut into squares, glue gun, scissors, a button, yarn. // glue sticks, yarn needle. 

i stabbed through my styrofoam ball with a knitting needle and put my string through and with my yarn needle put my yarn through the button holes. and on the other side i tied it about 2-3 inches away from the styrofoam ball for room to hang from your tree.

this is how you will cut your felt square. you can cut the four angled edges if you like,i did for a rounder effect. from the outer corner you will start rolling it til' you reach the middle, hot gluing a dot here and there for security. the end of the felt swirl is for the bottom of the rose. 

after making the felt roses you just glue them to your styrofoam ball until you cover it completely and hang them on your tree or from your chimney. and after the holidays you can hang them on door knobs. if you make several of them you can attach them to a long string or yarn and hand them from your ceiling, for a cool water drop effect! hope you enjoyed! xoxo

P.S. the possibilities are endless when it comes to felt flowers, you can make them into a garland, earrings, use them to decor headbands, make them into a ring, on top of flats, and the list goes on...   ._. 

DIY infinite scarf 

love this comfy soft warm infinite scarf, goes with most outfits and keeps you warm while keeping you in style. 

all you need is yarn in your choice of color, crochet hook and possibly scissors. I chose my favorite yarn lion brand in washington denim, 6, super bulky. and my crochet hook is size Q, 19mm. having thicker yarn and a thick needle makes crocheting this scarf go by fast. which is good if your making them as a christmas gift. you still have time!

start with your slip knot. chain 50. single crochet your first bundle.

this is what you should have by the time you finish your first bundle. ._. 

continue with your second bundle. just tie the two ends together with a knot and cutting away the excess string, and continue crocheting.
